ScanMyCode.dev ("we", "us", "our") is a product of FreelyIT, based in the Netherlands. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy laws.

When you use our services, we may collect the following data:

Name and email address — to deliver your audit report and communicate about your order.
Source code — submitted via GitHub URL or file upload, used solely to perform the requested audit.
GitHub access tokens — if provided for private repositories, used only during the audit and not stored permanently.
Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card details.
Usage analytics — anonymous, aggregated usage data collected via Umami (privacy-friendly, no cookies).

3. How We Use Your Data

To perform the code audit you requested.
To deliver your audit report via a secure, unique link.
To send order confirmation and completion emails.
To process payments via Stripe.
To improve our services based on anonymous usage patterns.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Neon (PostgreSQL database) and Cloudflare R2 (file storage). Audit reports are accessible only through unique, email-verified links. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.

5. Data Retention

Source code submitted for audit is retained for up to 30 days after audit completion to allow for support requests, then deleted. Audit reports are retained for 12 months. You may request early deletion at any time.

8. Cookies

ScanMyCode.dev does not use tracking cookies. Our analytics provider (Umami) is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies or collect personal data. Essential cookies may be used for session management during the payment process via Stripe.
